Meet Pastry Chef and Owner KEIRA ROE
From the age of about 5 I knew I wanted to be a chef, specifically a 'sweet chef'. Coming from a family of baking enthusiasts there was often freshly baked goods in the house. With a German grandmother introducing me to new recipes and old family traditions, it wasn't long before I became obsessed with the glorious world of patisserie.
At 16 I left behind my home of the Yorkshire Dales for the bright lights of Birmingham to complete my training at University College Birmingham aka The College of Cakes. Learning how to bake professionally, I enjoyed it all, from bread and cakes to sugar craft, chocolaterie and pastry.
I have been lucky enough to work as a pastry chef in high end country hotels, Swiss and French patisseries and the world class Selfridges. I learnt my trade from some amazing chefs in the industry and always knew I wanted to run my own business one day.
